2000 to 1995 engine swap...possible?

I have a 95 4runner (V6) and wondered if a 2000 3.4 liter would be a direct swap? Would the motor mounts, tranny, wiring etc be useable? Also could you do the swap without transfering the wiring, like using the existing sensors? Any help would be great.
Thanks

been there, done that....i think about 3 times already.

my and my cousin have 90 4runners with auto tranny and 4wd, we swapped in 99 3.4 v6's and slapped on trd superchargers.

rebuilt tranny, modded valve body to handle the 3.4 s/c'd power.

also swapped 3.4 motor into a 93 truck, manual 4wd.

did our own wiring and speed sensor works, tach works, etc....

also you would like to get a 99, cause some 99 and 00+ motors have the oil dip stick moved to the incorrect spot.

if you plan on putting on a trd supercharger too, you want to stick with 99 cause thats when they upgraded the s/c fuel problems on the 4runners.

you can use tacoma too, but research before you choose your motor.

96 3.4 swap to 99 3.4

I'm doing an engine swap in my 96 standard T4R which has a 3.4 and i'm putting in a 3.4 from a 99 standard tacoma. Is the wiring all the same and same computer, or do i have to switch it over? I'd appreciate some help. Thanks
