Frame swap????

so i was in class today thinking about random things and i remembered that pretty much everything is the same in solid axle 4runner (84,85) and ifs (86-89) and ive been wanting to do a SAS on my 87 but there so damn expencive. would it be cheaper to just buy a 84 or 85 frame/chasy and take everything apart and put it back togather on that frame??? i think it would be kinda fun learning all about my vehicle hands on. but would it work??? has anyone had any experience in this or heard stories?

i no it wouldnt be very easy but im a 17 year old kid who has a whole summer of nothing to do. it makes sence in my head, i have the tools and brains to do it but i want to do my homework on this before anything happens.

Having done a frame swap to replace the rotted out frame on my '83, I would say a SAS would be a lot easier, but not cheaper.

How would you lift the body off one frame and move it to another?

with these little he man muscles of mine, of course. no i have no clue that would be something i would figure out if i actually did it. how did you lift your body??? and like i said im not afraid of the difficulty of it, im pretty good when it comes to that sort of thing.
its just a random theory that went through my head but it seemed like a good idea. im kinda broke at the moment, after buying all the paint and a paint gun i hardly have enough for gas. but im gonna have money next month and im asking if i can score a frame or chasy for cheap should i???
