How did you mount your fog lights?

Alrighty, let's have some pics. How did you mount your lights? I was thinking about something discrete like some thin ones in the slots of the valance or big ones behind it (trying to keep the stock look).

My old cheap ones...

My new PIAA 1400s...

(And don't mind the Caddy emblem... I found it one day and was bored...)

Mike those Hella 550's look great. Are they focused beams for night driving? How much are they? Did you install them yourself?

Yes they are beams and let me tell you they cut a path of light, I hate the stock headlights on our trucks(weak).

I got them off E-bay I think I paid around $50 for them.
Yes I installed them myself had to cut the plastic valance so I could install them inside flush.

Mike, any installation tips? What did you use to cut the valance with? What did you use for a ground? What wattage bulbs do you use with those? I think they are available in different wattages, right?

Yea, I'm with Airedale... any install info would be great Mike. I love where yours are at and I have a set of these on my Christmas list with the Wife. What did you mount them to?

I also would like a nice set of KC HiLITES Daylighters. After driving off road at night a few times, I need much more light at a higher location. Anyone have an idea on where and how I would mount them on top of the cab?

Thanks

I cut the valance with a Dremel(everyone should have one of these) with a cut off wheel on it, the valance is made of plastic on my 93 some earleir models were metal IIRC, so it cut like butter.

I attached the light brakets to the radiator support right behind the valance and grounded them to the radtiator support also.

I can't remember what wattage they are maybe 100W but I am guessing. I got them off E-bay.

If you have to have a front plate on your truck you may have to spread them apart more.

To attach the brakets I took the front bumper off with vallance attached it is like 6 bolts.

If you have anymore questions let me know I can take some pic's for you too.
Mike
