Finally fixed!!!

So after the last week and a half of trouble shooting absolutely EVERYTHING in the Toyota manual...checking all wires, ohms, connections, components, etc. I finally came to the last step on the trouble shooting pages, "replace ecu". I had a spare one kicking around in the garage so I tossed it in and VROOOOMMMM!!!! The biotch fired right up!! Dammit I could have saved so much time, and aggrevation, argh!!! Well at least its fixed and the beast is up and running again. Thanks everyone for your input.

I had the exact same problem, stranded me 300 miles from home. Had to rent a U Haul and a trailer to keep from the 800 buck tow charge. For my unit - it turned out to be the EFI relay - located right in the fuse box in the engine compartment. Changed it out - 28 bucks new - and it fired right away!
from now on I will carry a junkyard rescued spare relay as a backup

I got off lucky - no bad ECU

Its all about the parts you break, and the friends you make.
