A VERY bad wheel bearing could cause tire wear. re-snug the castle nut, I've seen this before where people think the bearing is bad, but it was just improperly torqued... Worst case throw in a new set of bearings and re-align the front end..
Its possible that the switch has gone bad, but it could be a multiple of things... If the rear wiper is on the window is disabled... Could be something related to that (Bad wiring...), also there are a few switches in the rear window mechanism that could be stuck or flaky...
I would try a new switch and go from there...
