Moon Roof Add on

I have a 1989 4runner that does not have a moon roof. I would like to have one installed, but don't want to pay alot of $$$. Does any know what it woud cost and if it would be wise to have a used one installed.

Thanks for the help!

That would be mutually exclusive.

The cost is going to be high, as you'll likely have to have the roof replaced.

Sun roof

Try this. I have used these many times. Make sure you order the right size, follow instructions and have the nerve to cut into your roof.

I bet you could buy a 4runner for what it would cost to have a moon roof professionally installed.

i've never heard of a good aftermarket installation of something like what you are looking for. That is asking a lot, to have the moonroof and retain a water proof roof(for a truck that didnt have it stock). That being said, im SURE its possible at a high dollar. Atleast if you pay someone to do it, if it leaks or malfunctions you can take it back to them. I mean, I miss having a sunroof myself, but cant imagine taking a sawzall to the roof of my truck just to get one in.
If you do it, find the most reliable source and PAY. otherwise, just look at the moon or sun outside your nearest window, its not going anywhere too fast. till 2012 anyway right, hahaha.
Do some some basic yahoo/google searches for aftermarket sunroof and i'd bet that you'll find alot of stories on forums like this, probably mostly negative but I cant say for sure. Good luck, I hope you get it done like you want.
