Help, I need just 2 more inches

atleast thats what she says, lol j/k.. I'm 6'2 270lbs. and my 89 4runner seats are too narrow and don't slide back far enough. My question is, has anybody found a good replacement seat that would possibly fit right in place without any modifications or drilling??? I'm looking for cheap seasts that are easy to find in junk yards. Thanx in advance.

Mike

drill 2 holes in a 2 inch long piece of steel bolt one into the orignal floor spot and put a bolt to the seat in the other. 2 inches back just like.

I am 6'4 at 170 but i have never needed more room, i would suggest getting any bucket seat from car but you will have to make a sliding frame for it. i think any vehicle you take seats from will need custom frames for no matter what.

The seat sliders out of an ext. cab truck of this same era slide back about an inch and a half farther than the t4r seats. I found this out with my last one when I swapped my sr5 seats out of my truck into my runner.

Are they the same bolt patern on the flow for the ext. cab? Another reason I'm looking for another seat is because the bolsters on the front seat is too narrow for me. I was considering putting a bench seat in there from the truck, but I like having the center console.

I would think that they are the same, the 4Runner is the same basic build as the truck. Toyota also tends to reuse the same design for a long time (the Tacoma still uses almost identical brakes to the 1st gen.)
