I am curious what kind of weight savings you get between the steel and fiberglass.

More Progress
I think the weight savings is about 1/3.
More progress yesterday. Got the doors prepped and the skins installed. Also got the outer A-pillars in place. Lots of fiberglass / filler 'goo' in the passenger side pillar.
Doors prepped, POR15'd and undercoated:
Skins bonded and clamped:
Goo in the passenger side pillar:
New outer steel welded in:

Progress
Lots of progress this week...
The rear inner quarters were prepped. The new outer wheel wells were cut and fabricated from sheet metal, formed to fit, trimmed and painted with epoxy primer. New quarter was fit up to check fit.
Front of driver's side inner:
Rear of driver's side:
Welded and sealed:
Primed:
Inside view:
The passenger side panels were test fit again. Body line alignment is awesome.

Nova Scotia
Yup, it should be sweet. I had to laugh when I saw your location. I flopped my truck in a ditch in Wolfville NS in 1999. I was on a two week holiday from Ontario. Good times!

Update
The truck is in the paint shop now. Should be out next week, then a week to re-assemble.
Did some shopping today... Marlin Crawler has a sale on their MC07-XD dual case adapters until Friday, so I ordered one. Should have it in a week or so.
Thought about going with 4.70:1 gears and 23-spline input to the rear shaft but I think it would be a bit much and the gears are back ordered until July so I went with the 21-spline input.
Time to clean up my spare transfer case for surgery.

Already done, about 4 years ago!
Picked up some free steel from work today. The pieces are 1/4" thick and about 12" x 19" without the bend. Going to cut these up to make bolt-on brackets for my sliders, four per side.

Progress
Got my MC crawl box built this weekend. Need to figure out what to do with the centre console and heater next since the box moves the twin-stick back about 6.5" and I don't want to lose the heater or the rear window / wiper switches.
Rear view:
Front view:
Current:
I might just extend the console by about 4" and let the relocated twin stick eat into the plastic a bit. Will see.
Need to order the 3-link but I have been sidetracked looking at plasma cutters. Toys...
