Wow - whats the backspace on your wheels?

For reference, I'm running an IFS rear and the stock 85 front with spacers too, and my 255/85s on a 16x7 wheel with 4.5 backspace are just barely covered by my stock fenders/quarters. I want to go to the high clearance panels you've got, but I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get 5-6 inches wider without running STUPID spacers. That's why I'm picking your brain.

I'll see if I can measure them on the truck and/or find the specs online.

KidV, sorry this took so long. I think they're Allied 97 Chrome wheels (until I blasted and POR'd them) with 4.75" BS. I haven't had time to take one off and measure it. I need to check my front wheel bearings soon so I'll confirm then.

No real changes lately. Looking at 4.7 gears for the rear t-case and also at a Softopper. I need a lottery win...

Also had to remove the AC belt as the tensioner bearing is fried. Toy dealer here wants $200 for the pulley! looks like about $30 online from the US for a real Toy part. Geez...

Cool, thanks. I must be missing something, because the wheels I've got are right around the same backspace, and I don't sit anywhere near as wide as you. That's ok, it'll be a good excuse to bolt up a Tacoma elocker housing in the rear and Rock Assault in the front.

You've already got duals, right? Do the topper before you do the 4.7 gears. Freedom from that fiberglass top is a wonderful thing. Keep me in mind if you win the lottery tho, I need a new soft top too!

You will love a Softopper! 4.7's are also very nice to have.

Thanks, Corey. I'll be up there mid July and will call you beforehand

Had some minor carnage on the weekend. I was on a trail cleanup, organized by 4WDABC.ca
Four Wheel Drive Association of BC - 11th Annual West Stave Lake Cleanup of Burma and Florence Lake FSR's, June 1st, 2013

Took off down a trail and forgot to remove my mud flaps. Oops... Ended up trying to back over something and tore them both off. One pulled through the bolts and the other ripped the mount off the frame. Luckily, I tacked them on lightly since I knew I'd forget them eventually.

Note to self...

On the bright side, we had lots of people turn out and we pulled over 25 tons of crap out of the roads and trails.

Sounds familiar--I put some large flaps on my last truck, and after only a couple runs, they were both torn off! Oh well, I tried to keep those following me clean (LOL).

I haven’t been on here in ages but the truck is still going. No real changes and haven’t been using it much but it still gets out and turns some heads occasionally.
