Need a favor for gas tank sending unit.

Ok so the dealer by me wants 280$ for the fuel sending unit.
i would like to know what ohm range the sending unit is, the FSM i downloaded did not work and i cant find a link that works.

So could one of you look that up for me.

Full ------ (approx) 35mm/0.98in -- (approx) 3 Ohms

1/2 ------ 76mm/2.99in ---------------- 32.5 Ohms

Empty ------ 176mm/6.12in ------------110 Ohms

sorry forgot to say its a 87 any thoughts to that being the same 0-110 ohms

Don't know it it's the same or not. You don't have to download the manual, at least I didn't. I tried but it wouldn't work for me. I just use the link to read it off the net. I'll get you the link when I get back home. It's not saved on this computer....

And if the sender works intermittently (has dead spots), sometimes you can bring it back to life by cleaning the windings with some electrical contact cleaner.

well the idea is im puting a 40 gallon tank in and i wanted to use the stock fuel gauge so im looking to see what sending unit i would inplace.
