Unhappy Magnaflow Direct-fit Cat for 2nd gen

Hi everybody, I'm helping my dad out cause he is computer illiterate, but anyways, he just bought a 94 V6 4Runner last month and a few days ago someone ripped off the cat. Upon further research, I've learned that the cat stealing business is common for this vehicle. So he purchased a direct-fit Magnaflow CA Legal Cat part #39884. It seems to be a little short but I noticed the connection can move as far as the rubber hangers allow it to. So I'm wondering if the direct fit is all I need besides the gaskets or if there is another piece that is also missing. Luckily the thief didn't saw off anything but it appears to have just been unbolted. I was also wondering if there is a value for the aftermarket cats as well. Here are some pics I took:

Thanks for any help you can give.

The value is what's inside and that's why they steal them. as far as I know aftermarket Cats also contain the platinum they are looking to steal and cash in.

I was hoping the aftermarket stuff would be safe. I seen the "catclamp" and skid plate protection options, but I think he will just have a shop weld it... hopefully they wont saw it off!

had a guy try to get at mine with a sawzall, little did he know i was awake and when he started to crawl out from under my truck he found the barrel of my M4 right in his face, i cuffed him and waited for the cops the guy was crying like a baby. when the cops showed up the guy tried to claim that i asked him to fix my truck at 230 in the moarning.

Please make note that my truck has in the back window a giant ARMY Infantry and Special Operations sticker right on it.

These guys are really dumb, but they will make a ton of money in one night. Local scrap yards wont take cats unless you can prove you work at a auto shop or if you only have one.
