Loud vibration between 65-70mph.

Just bought my 94 4runner today on the 90 mile drive home i noticed between 65-70 mph it had a really loud vibration, it wasnt suspension, i could feel it between my seats and it made the rear view vibrate, anyways if i let off the gas it would stop if i gave it more gas it would still vibrate but get a bit softer, seemed like 65-70 was that sweet spot for the loud vibration. any ideas? U-joints? that was my thoughts,

You shold replace the propeller shaft joints in rear and in the front yoke that goes in to the transfercase on your rear driveshaft.

Sometimes aftermarked parts as well make the tolerance a bit smaller and the C-clip not lock enought and make play in the joints. this is not good.

I had this problem and installed a new heavy duty Moog propeller joints and installed a extra yoke i had lying around and problem was solved.

It can also be the driveshaft it self as well that need a new balance.. but i would start with new and correct installed propellerjoints first. Also make sure the stock propeller joint mount connections is not worn so the bearingcups have no play in it.

Unbalanced parts will produce a vibrated soundfeeling when that goes trouth the rearaxle or/and the transfercase mounts or so.
Begin with small steps and take it from there.
