Cold air intake question....

I have a 1990 runner v6 3.0.....

I know that for the O/D to kick in it needs to be at a certain temp degree... If I put in a cold air intake will it mess with the temp? sorry if this is a noob question I'm new to this thread and its my first 4runner. Thanks

No. They just let the motor breathe easier and can increase volume. It is sorta strange they call them "cold air", since they get the air from the same hole in the engine compartment or from the engine companrtment itself, which is not cold.

No, the O/D switch works off of coolant temp, not air temp.
