Alfaparts sent me rockers for an '89 Pickup which is the wrong gen so instead of sending them back I repaired them with fiberglass. There's a link to my build below. I repaired them about five years ago and just got it painted last month. The repairs have held and rust didn't return. Here's a terrible picture before I put it all back together:

True…. We don’t typically have those issues out here (especially in the desert areas) unless the vehicles are known to rust regardless.
Your truck looks fantastic. I haven't clicked on your build link yet but I will check it out. I’d like to see how it looks all assembled. White looks so clean.

Thanks. Those wheels were a dealer option my Dad purchased when he bought the truck new. ....it's a long story but I sort of got "stuck" with the trcuk a few years ago.
The truck itself is in relatively great shape. The cab roof has primer starting to break through and the removable top is faded. I usually treat the top with 303 Aerospace Protectant which deepens the color and leaves a satin-like shine for about 3 weeks (as you see in the photos). I'm wary of over polishing the paint so I will typically just use an all-in-one product to help revive it once I begin noticing signs of oxidation and I don't worry too much about correcting other blemishes/scratches.
The interior carpet is faded (as well as the handles which get chalky) and the seats have some wear. Everything else is basically intact though and in good shape including the dash (no cracks).
It’s still bone stock except for the refurbished engine due to a cracked block in the original. ….which was a pity considering the truck only has 90k miles on it. My next plan is to have some rear leafs fabricated and installed to retain the stock ride height. As for now, I just maintain it and drive it around town every 1-2 weeks to keep it going.
