Suspension lifts.

hi all, ,
i have a 90 4runner, ifs front end, coil rear, 22r engine.
Im looking at doing a 4inch full suspension lift using a kit thats available on ebay
Toyota Hilux/Surf/4 Runner IFS Front End Lift Kit | eBay
Then combining the rancho RS9000XL
RANCHO RS9000XL Shock Absorber - Set 4 | eBay
and a heavv duty torsion bar, and a decent steering dampener of course.

My question is about the coils, do I need to get a new set of 4inch longer coils, or can i use say coils that are 45mm larger and include spacers? any advice would be great!!

both those prices seem really really high! im sure if you do some more homework on it you can get a much better deal. i am a bargin shopper though.

and im not sure about the shocks, it doesnt say anywhere in the page about them being 4 inches over stock length.

i just found a set of cruiser springs on craigslist for 40 bucks they are from a 97 lc i have read that 2nd gen use the front and thrid gen uses the rear so i will use the ones i need and sell the others for 40 bucks so i the end should cost me nothing and i have read should get me around 4 inches of lift.

Can you clarify a little bit? Are you saying that one could essentially bolt a stock LC suspension into their 1st or 2nd gen 4Runner and end up with 4" of lift? Have you had a chance to install this stuff yet?

Either new coils or stock coils and some spacers. I would go with spacers and maintain the factory smooth ride. Why not go with a Rough Country 4-5 inch for approx 800 on ebay ?

So I'm want to get this clear, a little confused with all of the threads I've read.............For my 1992 runner....... I'm putting 33's on. I'm going to do some mild wheeling, mostly for looks.

For the front................

I'm looking for the 1.5 ball joint spacers for the front lift. Do I get the diff spacers as well? If so, what size?

Now for the rear.....................

I would like to do the LC springs (I need new springs anyway) but I'm kind of confused on which ones I need to order. Do I need the front or rear LC's? From what year LC? Do the color codes mean anything? Do I need to get the same side LC's to make sure that they are the same length?

BTW.........do I need longer shocks for this set up or can I stay with stock ones? If so, how long?

Please help.

Thanks.
