solid front axle swap help!!!!!!

Hello everyone.... I am doing a solid front axle swap next month on my 86 GEN1 runner and was wondering if anyone has any recomendations on a kit. All the ones I have been able to find only have the front components. I would like to find a kit that has rear springs, shocks, and hardware included to match the front. I am looking for a complete kit with a 4-6 inch lift so i can run 35's with ease and get plenty of articulation. If there isnt any kits with both front and rear components i would also like to find a cheaper kit. This is what i have found so far.

http://www.polyperformance.com/shop/...gn=4X4products

I want to get a kit but the cheapest i have been able to find is 1300 for the front. Any help would be appreciated!

To find a whole kit is going to be hard and won't be cheap.
Addicted Offroad

Sky Manufacturing - my bad didn't see you already pulled them from poly. There are more options on SKY's site though.

All-Pro Offroad

Trail-Gear

These are the one's i know of off the top of my head.

Thanks....yea those sites were first on my research list lol.....i have been all over the net and it looks like my cheapest option and the most bang for my buck is going to be around 1900.00 for the ifs eliminator kit, rear lift to match and 10" spline driveshaft kit. It even comes with armor for my axle....Now to find a solid front.I hope to find one unter 200.....2300.00 is my limit lol

Make your own. Check out Pirate 4x4 or Wheeling Arizona. I helped a guy build one about 6-7 years ago out of scrap metal (for the mounts), leaf springs are easy to find. There are some pretty thorou
gh write ups about it.

Also seatch RUF or Rears up front for another leafspring option.

If articulation is what you want, 3 link it with coilovers with some chevy or ford leaves in the back.

Any thoughts on gears?

I have not gotten that far yet. I am kinda new to this...well not to wheelin, I just grew up with chevy half ton's. This is my first toyota build and I want to do it right. I have the welders and cutters to do the job but am just kinda lost as to knowlege of how do do it a cheeper way then ordering new kits. I do know that if i get the new kits it will take a while for the springs to wear in and give me the true articulation i want. I know I need to make the front match the rear. but i am still in the market for a front axle and am not having very much luck finding one. What are the best gearing setups? I have a lockright locker in the rear right now but i do not remember what the gearing is. I will have to tear the cover off and count the pinion gear. What should i do? The rear end is strong and i love the locker and the transfer case as it is. It is low enough to do what i want it to do i just want to get rid of the IFS. Im a sponge and just soaking up all i can. I will check out pirate4x4 and look for the threads. I heard that i can put chev rear springs in the rear and toyota rears in the front but i would have to build custom shackles to make the truck sit level right?

Toyotas dont have covers. We have 3rd members. Think mini Ford 9".

FWIW, my front and rear kits are on sale. $999 for the front and $579 for the rear right now.

Front kit ships for free too.
Driveshaft kit is $189

That should help get you well below what you are being quoted.

I am located in southern utah (beryl). I would love to buy it if the price is right with shipping. I found one locally but they want 450.00 for it and it is gutted. A little out of my price range.

Hyde802

Thurlo

I get my pell grant sometime next month (july) I am hopeing the first of the month and am for sure interested. My zip is 84714 Beryl Utah. What is your zip and the weight? I would like to get a more solid Quote on shipping. Do you think you will still have the axle then? also do you know the the ratio is?...so i can price new if it does not match. I have the stock gearing in my 86 runner sr5 right now plus lockright locker

Will this give me everything i need for the swap and rear to match? And will this price still be available in July...Im thinking within the first couple weeks. also you said the front kit will ship for free.... If I order the driveshaft extended for 200, the rear kit and the front kit will it all ship for free?
I am not beating around the bush. I want to get everything i need for this axle swap and lift and i would prefer to get as much as i can with one purchase and shipment or a couple but shipped the same time.

Thanks
Joseph

Not sure how long it will last, but I would guess that it won't be that long.

The rear kit ships for $50. Everything else is free if its ordered together.
