That's probably around what Toyota charges.

And the application info in the listing is wrong.
It won't fit all those trucks and there is no W50 5 spd on a 4WD.

There are 2 types of tranny/t-case combos, forward shift or top shift, and that boot doesn't fit both.

Its because its genuine Toyota. I just used a Crown Royal bad. Cut the bottom and slid it over.

I saw that expensive one. If anyone is looking for new shift boots I recommend this seller on eBay: TOYOTA 4 RUNNER TACOMA PICKUP HILUX SHIFT BOOT 84-95 | eBay

$34.99 plus $9.99 shipping. They are in England but I got mine in less than a week. I'm really happy with the one I got for my gray 89 4Runner. I swear it's nicer than the OEM vinyl. They make them out of real leather and it even has the metal ring sewn in. They make them for different models and can make several colors. I know it was kind of a splurge but I like a nice, clean interior.

I salvaged mine out of a 2nd Gen 4Runner. The thing I noticed was that it gets cut by shifting back and forth between 1st and 2nd gear because for some reason it rubs too tight against the plastic floor frame deal (the part that is missing from Hyde's photo above)

I have the plastic floor frame deal screwed down exactly where it belongs, but it's still too close to the shifter to not cut the shift boot... design defect? has this happened to anyone else's shift boot?
