Time to think about warm buns part 1

Hey guys. As much as we may not want to think about it, it's going to be getting cold soon. Now's the time to think about warming your uh... buns. I have a pair of OEM Toyota seat heaters (lower elements) which are new, & never installed. I intended to install them in my 4Runner's rear seats, but never got to it.

These retail for more than $275 EACH at the dealer, but I'm selling them for only $135 for the pair SHIPPED!

P/N:
87510-60370

PM me or email [email protected] if you have any other questions. This is also my PayPal address.

Edit: Price adjustment

So, you don't have the switches? What else would I need to get these to work in my truck?

Hey Thumper. No, I don't have a pair of the OEM switches (sold those a couple months ago here on the forum). However, you can either buy another pair of OEM switches (they are $45 ea), or simply buy some illuminated switches of your choice. It's just a switch. Nothing special about the OEMs to make it vehicle or Toyota specific.

As for the wiring. I wasn't going to buy the harnesses as that would be too costly. Again, you can simply use common stranded wiring and a relay/fuse for these. I would suggest 14 ga wiring. Then just wire it up as per the Toyota wiring diagrams (techinfo.toyota.com). I probably have the diagram already downloaded for a 4Runner. I can either email or print it up & send with.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Do you happen to know the P/Ns for the factory Switches and Harnesses you would need?

Any other stuff besides the switch/harness needed to install?

Two questions:
1. Aren't the factory switches actually dials (as in, variable rheostats)?

2. Are these safe to use with cloth seats?

Hey guys. I don't have the part number for the seat heat switches, but I have a link to Partznet.com for them.

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...layCatalogid=0

If you don't want to pay the dealer's price, you can simply use a three position switch & resisters if you want. All the reostat (OEM switch) does is varries the resistance, which reduces or increases the voltage to the seat heat elements.

Can't say if these in particular are safe for cloth seats, however I've seen many vehicles with cloth seats with seat heaters installed. I'll leave it to your own judgement. Personally, I don't think there would be any problem.

As far as what else you may need, see my earlier posts. Again, if you don't want to spend big bucks for the OEM harnesses, etc, you'll need wiring, relays, fuses/fuse holders, & maybe some Molex connectors to simplify things, etc. It would be MUCH cheaper doing it this way than buying the harnesses, and should be pretty straightforward. I can also supply the wiring diagram to help you.

It's funny. Now that these are on Ebay I've had several ask me if I can take them off so they can buy them. Well the answer is "Sorry, No".

I had these on the forum for a month before putting them on Ebay. It wouldn't be right for me to remove them off of Ebay. I've got 14 people watching the auction as well as a bid already, and it wouldn't be fair to them.

If any of you are that interested in them, use the buy it now. The last price I had on this post was $135. My buy it now is $149. I will refund $15 to anybody here that uses the buy it now. Simply tell me you are a member of T4R.org (with your user name) in the message area when paying for them through paypal. It probably wouldn't hurt to pm me too.

I will then refund $15 to you. You will still have to pay for shipping, but it's really not much more. If I was to refund shipping also I'd lose out too much as I'm going to have to pay the Ebay fees for listing and final value fees, so I believe that's fair for everyone involved.

But you better act quick - if someone else bids, the buy it now will go away since there is no reserve. Then it's just a bidding war with the highest bid getting them for however much.

Anyway, let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks!:rocker:
