I picked up this Westin Bullbar that has a skidplate used for around $125 + shipping on eBay. There are a number of manufacturers who make similar bullbars that are cheaper than what a Westin would run you new. Something to look at.

I sold my truck and kept my skid plate thinking i was going to get another truck. I don't think it's going to happen. I might be selling it if you're interested. There are a few scratches on it but I will include all hardware. Let me know if you're interested.

Yeah Chaz, I like yours better too. It really covers the whole opening underneath the radiator. I have been meaning to make one like that. Unless you wanna make me one just like yours. I would buy it off you!

thanks , fairly easy to do since all thats done is drill 4 holes & make 2 bends.holes with nuts were already in the factory skid & bumper support. a metal bender would of made it much easier tho. it is more like a functional skid than faux. my main concern was how cheaply it could be done, 35 vs 125 & stronger to boot.

I slopped on this steel plate. 20 steel- 7 paint- 8 bolts. 35 bucks.
Not as pretty that's for sure. Horrible pic too. (sorry) I just bought a 1 foot by 2 foot piece of steel. Didn't even cut it, I just painted it and drilled some holes. It serves it's purpose. Nothing coming up into this radiator.
The worst thing I see is that the bolts seem exposed. Eh, still worth it!!!
