**SOLD** Clean 2000 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4WD w/ Diff Lock

***SOLD***

We are selling our very clean and extremely well maintained 2000 Toyota 4Runner Limited. It has been a great vehicle for us, but we just recently got something larger to accommodate our growing family.

Exterior is Black, and the interior is tan leather. 115k miles. V6 motor, Auto transmission, 4WD, A/C, power everything, including moonroof, windows, seats, locks, mirrors, rear window, steering, ABS brakes, AM/FM/CD/Cassette, etc. Vehicle is very clean, always garaged, no leaks, no accidents, clear title. We have owned since 2003.

3.4 L V-6 motor, running Mobil 1 full synthetic oil w/ Wix filter
Auto transmission w/ Overdrive, running Valvoline full synthetic ATF fluid
Shift on the Fly 4WD w/ Center Differential Lock and Lo-Range 4WD
Fluids for Transfer Case and Front and Rear Differentials recently changed
All U-Joints and Driveshafts serviced with Valvoline full synthetic grease
New Timing Belt
New Water Pump
New Fan, A/C, and Drive Belts, including new Idler Pulley
Recent Cooling System flush and coolant refill using Toyota Red
New Spark Plugs
Fluid for Power Steering recently changed
New brake pads up front; rotors turned as well

Factory Running Boards
Factory Roof Rack with added aftermarket rack basket (used for carrying camping gear)
Factory Alloy Wheels, tires at 40-45% tread life but wear is uniform
All electrical works perfectly
Power antenna mast does not retract or extend, but motor is working properly. Radio reception has not been impaired, so I have not addressed it.
A/C system blows ice cold as it should. Compressor or compressor clutch makes a noise intermittently, but A/C performance is not affected.
Has a few standard light scratches that one would expect from a 2000 vehicle, but nothing major. Most have been buffed out or are unnoticeable after it was polished recently. There is one recent dent in the rear bumper cap from someone bumping it in a parking lot. It is only the bumper piece that was damaged (I have the repair quote from insurance for $198 in parts and labor), which I can either repair prior to the sale or take off the $200 from the purchase price.

I take pride in my vehicles and I maintain them to an almost excessive point. We had planned to keep this 4Runner for a long time, as my wife really enjoys it, but we are moving to something bigger for her to haul the kids around in. It really is turn-key, as the maintenance has been diligently kept up, and it is in very good condition.

Price is $9700. Would consider trades for a ’95-’97 Land Cruiser.

No the '00 has a rear diff lock. It was the last year it was available. It should be next to the steering wheel and next to the dash light dimmer.

If it had the rear lock then yes it would be next to the steering wheel but if you look it doesn't. It has the push button for the center locker.

It has the Center Diff Lock, no rear diff lock. The push button is for 4WD shift-on-the-fly, unlocked. To actuate the CDL, when you manually shift into 4-Hi or 4-Lo, it also engages the Center Diff Lock.

I have an 01 with center diff lock but I have a button where the rear diff lock is, next to the steering wheel between the light dimmer. I never heard of it 'auto engaging?" WHen I shift to 4L it's just that and my on dash indicator all wheels show green, when I want to lock my center I press the button and the indicator on the dash in the middle of all 4 green light goes amber and I hear it lock.

On my 2000 Ltd, it has what the factory manual calls the "lever/button type" front drive control for the transfer case shifter. It has the 4WD button on the side of the knob.

The diagram for the shift pattern on the shift knob is as follows:
  • H2-H4: normal operation is in H2 (normal 2WD), but, you can shift on the fly into 4H (normal 4WD) by simply pressing the 4WD button on the side of the t-case shift knob. Instrument Dash Indicator will light all four wheels green, but no amber light in the center which means 4WD active, Center Diff Lock (CDL) inactive.
  • H4(L): when shift lever is moved to this position, 4WD-Hi is active, as well as the Center Diff Lock. Instrument Dash Indicator lights the wheels green, and also the center light in amber, indicating 4WD with CDL engaged.
  • N: T-case in neutral
  • L4(L): when shift lever is moved to this position, 4WD-Lo is active, as well as the Center Diff Lock. Instrument Dash Indicator lights the wheels green, and also the center light in amber, indicating 4WD with CDL engaged.

As promised, here are some pics to help illustrate:

1. Shift Pattern on T-Case shift knob
2. Normal 2WD: Indicator lights are not lit, which means regular 2WD
3. Shift on the fly 4WD: T-Case shift lever stays in place, but push button on side of shift knob is pressed
4. Indicator lights show 4WD is engaged, Center Diff Lock (CDL) is unlocked

5. Moving shift lever to H4(L), T-Case is in 4WD-Hi with the CDL engaged.
6. Indicator lights show all wheels lit in green, as well as the center indicator light lit in amber, indicating center diff lock engaged.
7. Moving shift lever to L4(L), T-Case is in 4WD-Lo with CDL engaged. Indicator lights remain with wheels lit green, and center light lit amber.
