Seems like theres never anyone on this board. What's the deal with that? Is there always never responses to new threads?

Don't know about that...
I just got back from Vegas for three days. There were 175 new posts in that time. Not bad for a weekend.

Well, that all depends on the topic...if you post something worthwhile to respond back to, then you will get responses.

If you think that this board is dead, then feel free to register with other forums for your answers. I assume that you have already.

I have been a guest on this board for almost a year and a half. I have also noticed that it has really slowed down here. I think everyone went over to ih8mud.com. Or Thai just kicked everyone off of here. hahahah. j/k Thai

Hmmm...it's about 9:30 in the morning and there's already 76 people (2 mods) on the board (I just checked and that's 8 more than the other top 4Runner board), yet you feel compelled to comment that there are more mods than viewers and that there's never anyone on this board? You comment that there are "always never responses to new threads"despite the fact that the only two threads you've started (not counting this one) have responses in each of them.

Can I please have some cheese with that wine? Please be sure to abide by Rule Number 1 - due to the recent influx of trolls the rules are being strictly enforced

People looking and people posting are two different things. You can't deny this board could use some "action". That "other" 4Runner board has over a half million posts while this one still has yet to hit 90,000 in three years. Yes,I'm on that board too and I'm not saying anything malicious about this one but this one is a bit slow but seems to be picking up lately but it needs more "active" members.

This board seems to favor the 4th gens and since they are only a fews years into this gen the ownership base is growing;also the emphasis on this board isn't exactly catering to the 4wd crowd and the "other" board isn't really for the 20"+ wheel crowd.

I don't look at the boards being in competition with each other since they are quite different but it's nice to hear other's opinions since "popular" opinions can dominate just one board.

I know this will ruffle some feathers (and create some activity ) but it's how I see it.

No feathers ruffled from my perspective - I think both boards complement each other well and I can say that at the admin level this board has good relations with YT. My only purpose in bringing up the other board was to address Austeek's statement that "theres never anyone on this board" - we just hit 4,000 members so someone must be on

Yeah,YT has over 10k but I think more than half have less than 5 posts.
This board has regulars that post and that's what keeps the board moving along and the more active the regualrs are then the lurkers also get more active.

I was using sarcasm in the statement of more moderators than viewers. I was just seeing how other people felt. I've been a viewer for a few months but recently started posting.
I'm just throwing out there if others felt the same way as I did, that there wasn't much activity. Well, I'm speaking about the 3rd generation forum, atleast.
Just seeing if we could get some more activity going and if others had suggestions.
Ya, I guess I must of been whining cause I was stating some questions. Could I refer you to my rule, don't take everything personally.
