Out of respect to have the iPhone thread stay "on topic" (lol - just look at it now, not possible) I'm curious about a few things...

Why are there so many moderators? Nine seems like at least seven too many for this section, or any section for that matter. I also don't see SV dude listed as one of them so I'm curious why he's randomly deleting posts?

I also don't believe Thai, albeit given his sheer inability not to bite troll bait, should have been suspended.

Selective enforcement of the rules is bad form.

Also, moderators should steer clear of insulting people both on the forum and off, right? That's just common sense from my years on the world wide web, but maybe I'm missing something? But it's my opinion it takes a well balanced fair and mature person to moderate most forums.

May this be a thread for musings of the odd moderation here and I hope Thai's suspension is lifted.

Thai was put in time out because he was rude and offensive (broke the rules). Just because he didn't agree with someone else’s opinion does not give him the right to insult or call people names. Every member on this site has a right to disagree and express their opposing opinion no matter who posted the thread! I'm no troll, if you pull up any of my posts (thousands) through the many years I've been here, you will see that my posts are solely based on sharing and learning about our love for the T4R. You have to admit that Thai does not need to insult or make personal attacks on other members when they disagree with his opinion. Do a search and see how many people he has had this same problem with (MANY). I do agree with the fact that the moderators should have set him straight long ago. You have to realize Thai was (if I'm not mistaken) the originator of this site and when he was in control of the site he would do and say whatever he wanted (and he abused this) and there was no consequences. He became accustom to this and thought he could still abuse this privilege after he no longer was in control.

Honestly, Thai is a very smart and knowledgeable person and he does not need to do this to make his point in a debate. Maybe when he returns he will realize there is no need to be this way.

I have been a Moderator on other forums, and letting personal biases influence ones actions is poor form.

Here are the rules of this Forum as stated when you register: There were two threads in recent months about the Benghazi situation, that broke no board rules that I could see. Yet they were deleted.

It went sour the minute he started with the insults and name calling! I was tired of it (this has been going on for years) and stood up because there was NO moderators stepping in. Take a good look at how that thread evolved.

It seems to have evolved from an Iphone 5 info thread to a battle royal between you and Thai. You were the first person to even post in the thread and your post was filled with negative information. (if that's not trolling I don't know what is). Thai ignored it. You made a post about a alternative case cool stuff. Thai agreed with your positiveness. Then you battle with him about weather or not the phone is "perfect".... when all in all thai just wanted a thread to post info that he was interested in..

Please, show everyone the evidence. There have been several posts by you that were reported from multiple other members. ALL of them were complaining about you and your bashing of other forum members. I have given you warnings before telling you that you need to chill out and stop attacking other members. I gave you leniency because of your history on this forum.

Dangerous trigger finger? I have been more than fair to you and anyone else on this board that I have had to set straight. Every time it has been a simple warning. And yes, I did delete his avatar. If someone posts something that uses foul language then I will delete it with no warning. I didn't give him any infractions for it so I think my actions were pretty fair. If he had it for that long then IMO, the other moderators should have done something about it. Any moderating I have done on this forum is done so strictly within the rules that you agree to when you sign up on this forum. As far as my avatar goes, it doesn't contain any foul language or nudity. It is no different than a girl in a bikini nor does it break any forum rules. If women offend you, then please don't look to the left of my posts.
