Hi guys.
Was wondering if you have ever thought about making the search function more visible to the new user or casual browser? By this I mean something like making the search button much larger, or separating it from the rest of the buttons. Basically making it significantly more prominent.
The reason I ask, since I have been contributing to this forum I have noticed that many times new users ask questions that older users have seen over and over again. I believe these threads are often started by people who havent realized that the search function is available and is a fantastic resource to use. Quite often 'newbie' threads get either none or limited replies, or a suggestion to to a search, and occassionly these suggestions can be a little rude or sarcastic, if you know what I mean.
I would hate to see newbies turn away from the forum because they dont get good responses to their questions or because someone is a smart ass to them.
If the search button was 'advertised' better then I'm sure that the rate of new threads on old and common topics would be reduced.
Anyway, just a thought, keep up the good work guys.
