T4R.ORG is fading
There are few new posts and even fewer replies. I loved this site 2 months ago, but now it's just not dynamic. I know that database is incredible and search will bring just any topic possible, but Q & A's is what's great about the Forum Concept. It isn't big deal if some one new asks about something that's been discussed while back, I'd be glad to answer it instead of refering to old tread. I refer more and more to www.yotatech.com for some toyota topics. Though, this is still my fav Forum @ T4R.org.

I'm new here, so I thought that this was normal for this forum. I noticed that it is slow around here compared to some other automotive-based forums.
Have you ever been to the Xterra forums or Jeep forums? Much more traffic than here.
How do we step it up around here??

I have been here for a while and I remember getting a lot more e-mails to topic I subscribed to. I used to get like 10-12 a day and now I get like 3-4 a day if I am lucky. I still love the site though!!

Well, I have been here awhile and I noticed the board has slowed down a little. I noticed it was slow 4 months ago and then picked up 2 months ago and then slowed down. I wouldn't be too concerned, I predict it will be more active in a little while. Just remember we are still here and if you have a question about 4Runners, this is the place.

Hmmm...I hadn't noticed a slow down - in fact I've been very pleased with the continued growth of T4R.ORG. We set a new
"Most users ever online" record of 131 on 09-22-2004, and we had 12 new users sign up in a single day this past Friday. I think there were more than 60 active threads this past Friday, which I believe is close to if not a record for this site

Too many people are following the election
It is not just this board but others as well, which have slowed down a bit in terms of posts.
I think too many people are focussed on the election and not enough on important stuff like fixes, mods and offroading in 4Rs

I've replied to all sorts of posts and they just never get and responses. All anyone wants to do is Q & A, not debate or discuss, and if they do want to debate they usually resort to just copying and pasting links or quotes from articles elsewhere on the web without drawing any conclusions on their own.
It must be a sign of the times, but I use Mozilla Firefox 1.0 instead of Internet Explorer, and one of its many features is that if you just type something into the address bar, it will use google and bring up the first site that comes up. So I always used to just type in "t4r" to the address bar and then this site's forum would come up. Not any more. Some sort of nude celebrity website is apparently a better match for "t4r" according to google.

It's no wonder there is more action on the 'Heep' forums, look at all they have to complain about.
