Additionally, the price they quoted was approximately 3x what it actually cost to buy the correct sensor and have it replaced.
Their customer service sucks, their Service Mgr was discourteous/unknowledgeable and their prices were ridiculous! I will never set foot in there again.

So you're saying they somehow sabotaged your truck to have an issue 700 miles later? I mean really, come on.
Can I also ask you how you pay your bills? I'm assuming you're either in the Marine Corps, or a former Marine, as am I. Not sure if anything has changed, but as far as I remember, I collected a paycheck for doing a specific job. I didn't then, and don't currently work for free. With that being said, neither do technicians. Hooking a vehicle up to the "diagnostic machine" involves time. A code is then produced, which gives the tech a general area in which to begin diagnosing the issue.
I'm currently the Service Director of a luxury car dealership. The tech's are paid for the time they book by performing services, be it maintenance, warranty repairs, or customer pay repairs, they make no money working for free.
So you wanted them to diagnose it for free, then give another shop the business to replace the part, and then bash them for incorrect diagnosis? And on top of that, you're wondering why the Service Manager was discourteous? LOL, get over yourself dude.
