Angry Cobb County Service Stinks

Great buying experience at Cobb County Toyota. However, a few weeks after buying my 2006, I noticed that the secondary remote was not working. Upon on opening up the remote, I saw that it was rusted and corroded. I took it back to Cobb, and they said that I must have had it out in the rain or maybe jumped into a pool with it. When I told them I had never used it, and I must have gotten the remote that way, they said it was impossible. Finally, the sales manager , John Ridings, said that the remote was not covered on the warranty. Unbelievable! He actually told me it was not part of the car. I was shown the way out the door.

They were happy to take my money six weeks ago, but they were not willing to help me with a 30 dollar remote today. I had another bad service experience a few months ago with my old 4Runner. I won't give them another chance.

heck give me their number and I'll call em up saying I'll never buy a car from them..

get like 10 ppl to do that and you might get some service.

cobb county toyota

Hey, I love it if everyone called. I am actually thinking of writing on the back of my Toyota that Cobb County Toyota is not honoring their warranty and driving up and down Barrett Parkway.

Phone number of dealership is 770-421-6305
Ask for sales manager John Ridings...................he is very unpleasant!

Yeah, I was not impressed at all with Cobb Co. Toyota. To me the sales people were not very friendly...and that totally sucks about your remote.
I have been very happy with the service at Sandy Springs Toyota. You wouldn't think they would be such a big dealership from the outside, but it's a huge place, and they are always very friendly and helpful. You should give them a try. (I also got a great deal from them) I sound like a commerical for Sandy Springs Toyota dont I?

Thumbs up

Thanks for the heads up about Sandy Springs. I am not sure where they are, but I will look them up. I will drive way out of my way to avoid Cobb County Toyota.

There is nothing quite like spending all that money on a brand new vehicle and six weeks later being called a liar about a remote. My favorite was when they made up scenarios for me, like 'you must have jumped in a pool with your keys'. Yeah, well, I am a girl and not much room for the keys in the swimsuit.

I am going to post on as many Toyota Forums as possible, and I will mention the good review about Sandy Springs! Thanks!

That is from a 3 year old thread. I see they haven't changed much in the last three years.

I had to walk out of cobb county toyota when i was looking for my 4runner. I was looking at a used one and they would not get me the carfax. Ended up buying a new one from Sandy Springs toyota.

I have had 1 oil change at marietta toyota and was pleased with their service. 30 minutes or you get a coupon for a free one. Also they have internet coupons that knocks the price way down.
