Tustin Toyota - WTH

I visited Tustin Toyota in California today to ask about 2019's with my wife and before entering we we're greeted by a young man playing with his zipper. He said "ni hao" assuming we were Chinese and I asked him what he has heard about the 2019's and when they were coming. He claimed there were no 2019's and Toyota has discontinued the 4runners. I asked nicely if he could check and he said no, because he knows this as a fact.

Clearly, we were talking to the wrong person, and I told my wife let's go in and talk to someone who might know a little more and try to find someone that didn't have crabs.

We run into a decent salesman, Louis, who within 2 minutes had a printout of the allocations.

I never experienced such bad customer service ever...the first guy was so clueless and was in need of sensitivity training along with sales 101.

Please avoid the skinny young man here with dark slicked back hair...or not if you're into that sort of thing.

This all being said, expect a $10k markup on sticker (msrp). I plan to fly somewhere else to get my 4runner.

That sounds like the worst experience ever! Maybe someone trying to get fired?

Maybe he thought you were crazy rich asian? Someone got a smoking deal on a 2018 at huntington beach this month. They are running 1000 rebate on top of whatever you can negotiate. You can probably get at least 3-4k off sticker. Ha 10k markup on a normal 4runner...jokes.

I had a terrible experience at West Coast Toyota in Long Beach, CA - 0/10 would not recommend to a friend. They were a stealership, for sure.

They lied multiple times about the package we wanted to get. We wanted to convert a TRD ORP into a TRD Pro. Sales said they've done it multiple times and that it's a piece of cake.

We drove the car home from the lot, pretty excited, obviously. We took it back a week later to have them do the install, when service told us all warranties would be void that we purchased and that this was their first time doing this.

Sales at West Coast Toyota will say whatever they need to to make the sale. We were a little impulsive and naive going into it, but overall, very dissatisfied with their honesty. If you go to their Yelp page, it warns you "be careful, multiple listings from the same IP Address have been posted here." aka they are trying to inflate their yelp reviews.

Shady business, and I will never go back there.

West Coast must be nuts! My Inferno 2015 TRDP was one of the first in the US, and I got it for just under sticker with no trade in.

Sorry to hear that. I hate dealers, but I actually had a great experience with West Coast Toyota. Gave me the best price and had a very pleasant buying experience. No tricks at all.
