Go Toyota on Arapahoe in Denver, CO

My buying experience was very positive as soon as I began working with the right salesperson.
I began by emailing all dealerships in Colorado as to what I wanted and what their best price was. Once I received emails from those who were going to respond I went to the closest dealership for a test drive - this was Go Toyota on Arapahoe in Denver, CO.
Based on their store rules I was supposed to only work with the person who initially responded to my email but the guy (I think his name was Byron) did not seem to know anything as far as his dealership's inventory, anything about changes in 4Runner model years, did not return phone calls and seemed to fit the stereotypical car salesman. He was not available when I went to test drive the 4Runner so I was put in touch with a guy named Brooke Peterson.
Brooke Peterson was great. He knew about Toyota, about the 4Runner, owned a 4Runner himself, did not try to scam me, was respectful, knew about his dealership's inventory, never wasted my time with garbage negotiation tactics, responded to emails, and overall was the best salesperson I have ever dealt with when purchasing a vehicle.
After test driving a 4Runner with Brooke I wanted to work with him but I had to speak to management to get around their store policy so that I would not be forced to waste any more time with Byron. It took nothing more than a phone call to resolve that.
It helped that I did quite a bit of homework on pricing, the trade in evaluation process, the value of my trade in, possible car dealership tactics, and other things but overall I really enjoyed the process of buying my 4Runner from Go Toyota.
I hope that the Toyota dealerships in Seattle (at least their service departments) are at the same level as this dealership.

I bought my 4runner in 2002, I went to Go Toyota, at that time John Elway 1st to see what they had. They unfortunately didnt have what I wanted and not around the price I wanted. The Salesman was great though and started looking for the exact 4runner that I wanted. I ended up going to 3 or 4 more dealers and eventually bought my 4runner from Broadway Dodge, which was a horrible experience. I got a killer deal on it though on Oct 31, 2002. last day of the month and they wanted to get rid of it... so I was able to talk them down over 2k from sticker and well below the Nada value of the car.

However, the Go Toyota guy called me later on to follow up, and after I informed him that I had already bought one, He was so great, I have serviced the 4runner nowhere but Go Toyota since... (until 4wheel parts did my lift and suspension and tires etc a couple weeks ago.)

The service is great, its always gonna be more expensive but I know that they will take care of any problems... One time, they replaced all my belts, about 2 mo later I felt like my power steering was going out, I forget now what had happened but something had broken because a bolt had come loose and fell out, I inf them that no one had touched the car since they did and I also pointed them at my long record of maintenance there with them and they waived all the charges.

Great place, 7 years of working on my car, never been disappointed.

I had an awful time there, but they had the truck I wanted so I played ball. My review is here under Mike A.

AutoNation Toyota Arapahoe - Centennial, CO

I have a maintenance deal/warranty with them so hopefully their service dept. steps up.

Second that...bought a holdover 2013 Platinum Tunda from Brooke. She didn't waste my time, gave me more than I thought my trade was worth, and still discounted the Tundra over $9000. Absolutely fantastic sales lady.

Go Toyota on Arapahoe in Denver is a good dealership, my son was embedded there working for a parts company and two of the techs there are guys in my local 4x4 group. My only personal experience with them was with the service manager who gave me copies of my trucks service records since the PO had it serviced there.

I emailed with them while getting bids for a 2016 TE and they were so far off from anyone else. I ended up paying $3200 less than what their lowest offer was!

Yeah I swung by there a month ago. They throw a lot of crap on their cars to jack the price up. Anti-theft, front window guarantee, interior protectant, blah blah blah. Each T4R had at least a grand of crap thrown on it.
They had a lifted T4R and were charging $5k just for the lift!

The salesman I spoke with (Ron I believe) tried to tell me that the KDSS can't be lifted... they had one with a 2" lift out front. And this is a guy that has a T4R of his own.
I got more information from one of their customers in the waiting room than from the salesman.
I requested to test drive one with a KDSS and they pulled up in one without.

I had a good experience with Stevinson Toyota West in Golden. So many dealers around here add a laundry list of worthless stuff to their vehicles and then itemize it out on a supplemental window sticker that they make to look like something from the manufacturer. The worst I’ve seen lately is a Lakewood Audi dealer that adds $695 for “windshield protection” and $595 for a “protection package for the exterior and interior”. That’s probably Rain-X, cheap wax and some goo slathered on the leather (if it’s anything at all).

Stevinson didn’t do any of that. I worked out the sales price with the salesman by email (and it seemed to be a good price), and they stuck to it when I came in. Of course, the F&I guy tried to upsell me on extended warranties and a bunch of aftermarket stuff. They all do that. I declined all of it and didn’t get much pushback from him.

The one thing that did irritate me, though (and I didn’t realize it until after I took the 4Runner home), is that they had hacked into the wiring to add a port for a “KARR” alarm system. It’s disabled since I didn’t purchase it, but now I have this thing screwed onto the lower corner of the dash with some wires coming out of it. In walking around their lot, it looks like they put this on all of their vehicles for “inventory protection”. The thought of them cutting into the factory wiring for this is what bothers me the most about it. If I were to buy from them again, I’d try to get a vehicle right off of the truck that hasn’t gone through their PDI process yet.

I've bought multiple 4Runners from Go over the past 12 years. However, over the last 2 months, I've had a terrible experience. Worked well with one guy and he was going to email me some information. Never did. I went back a couple of weeks later and asked for him and he had left the dealership. They gave me another guy. Again, very friendly and answered a ton of questions. Told him I was about 2-3 weeks away. Dropped me like a hot cake. Then in early Feb, I saw they had pretty much what I was looking for. I went in and it it took them 10 mins to find a guy to help me. During the first 20 mins of meeting with him, he spent 15 minutes walking away looking for answers. I left and found my truck with a great salesman at Mountains States Toyota. Will still go back to Go for service as Chris L. is fantastic to work with. I'll think long and hard about buying from them again.

I think about the worst possible dealer sales experience I
have ever had in about 30-40 purchases. Steer clear of the dog and pony.

I had done some online looking and they showed to have 2 that fit our criteria online and listed as available. Pulled up and literally though a homeless guy was coming to panhandle. Big brown floppy coat and a loose beanie from somewhere outside the Boulder city limits. Ok, not very professional but a bit beyond even casual. He didn't even look like he worked there.

Strike 1. Pounced upon as we were getting out on the truck. Walks us and does the old school OK corral/deal, ie.. walk them inside, in chairs at a table and the "qualify the buyers" schtick. Im not doing playhouse 90 get up and just ask some general questions about the new 2018 models... He cuts me off and says that the 2018's are WEEKS away and all they have are 2017's in stock.

Strike 2. Then proceeded to ignore me and try to show my wife the lifted and pimped out SR5 they have for $40 something there and how it's just the best thing we can ever find and its exactly like a PRO but better. PRO grille, TRD seats, bling wheels and a lift. I asked what about the hood not having a bulge...he shrugged. Then he said well you can order a PRO but it will be 6 months AND you have to have a 10 grand down deposit because they sell the PRO models at 15-20 GRAND above MSRP!

Strike 3. Hun, it's time to go....Doesn't know they even have the 2018's in stock and gives us his card to come back in a few weeks.

Your out! Went down to Liberty Toyota in Colorado Springs and bought the 2018 truck, exactly as we wanted that same night. Oh, and they were great and no problem using our Costco program discount and in and driving in 2 hours. Kudos to them and Arapahoe Automation Toyota; please get rid of the kids with Glengarry Glennross sales training education, it's not going to work out for you with any sort of educated buyer.
