Oil change speed contest

I was talking with courtesy van driver after leaving my 2017 SR5 at dealer for service. Topic moved to staff and my driver shared his knowledge that the “service bay mechanics” did not like doing toyota trucks (including 4runners) because the tire rotation was hard work due to weight of big tires compared to sedans. So they assigned the trucks to the newbie “mechanics” and to keep it interesting made wagers on how fast the lube and rotation could be completed.
This was and will continue to be my last service at this dealer. My local tire shop does whatever regular auto maintenance clients request. So I provide the full syn oil, toyota filter, washer for drain plug and loan the special oil filter tool.
Plus I can watch everything done and when complete do a undercarriage inspection.
Beware those shops where you cannot observe your vehicle being serviced. At 73 years age I do prefer to hire out some maintenance. Some I perform myself.
Safe wheeling to all!
Hungryhawk.
