New guy in Calgary
Howdy folks, I'm new to the forum and I'm looking at buying a T4R. Looks like gen 3 is right in my price range.
I've got a thread started in the Gen 3 sub-forum about it:

Also, what is everyone's favourite mechanic for these in Calgary? I'll probably be needing a pre-purchase inspection done, and possibly an insurance safety inspection as well, depending on the year.

What is the opinion on the local dealers? My Mother always went to Stampede, but she couldn't check her own oil, let alone change it. I like to think I'm a couple levels above that.

Very much like to know where to get a pre-purchase inspection done. Preferably someone who specializes in Toyotas who isn't a dealership.
I've been screwed before.

Hey! New as well with a 98 4runner SRS. Love the car to bits but need to know if any of you have a recommended mechanic. My temp knob is stuck!

I recommend lads auto, great customer service, they have been helping me out on my 3rd Gen for quite a while now! Always really friendly and don’t overcharge for anything
