2004 4runner Limited (2WD) SPACERS
Hey everyone,
So I'm new to this site and have just been floating around and reading all of the interesting mods everyone has done on their T4Rs. I currently have a 2004, charcoal grey limited 4Runner with recently installed 32 inch Nitto Terra Grapplers (All-Terrain) and 17 inch Black Rhino wheels (Rockwells).
Although I love the look of my after market tires and wheels, it did seem to be a tight fit in my wheel wells. I removed my mud flaps and it seems to have done the trick.
Now, though, I am looking into buying some spacers to get a nice, clean lift. I am only 17 years old, and probably one of the youngest on this site, but I still pay for everything I do to my car. My parents told me from the beginning that after we split the payment of the car 50/50, I had to pay for any after market upgrades myself. So, as one might conclude, I am searching for some cheap spacers, maybe 2 inches in the front and 1 inch in the back.
Any suggestions? ANYTHING WILL HELP!

Welcome! For what your wanting, go with daystar spacers. You can get them at 4wheelparts.com. They sell a budget boost front spacer, it'll give you close to 2". They sell a 1.5"rear spacer as well. Both run $40 each and are typically on sale for less. For a little more you can get the daystar 2.5/1.5 kit, this would take out more of the rake. Both great options, heart depends on how much you want to close the gap in the fenders front to rear.

Welcome to the forum. As ARK_Swamp man mentioned, definitely go with a spacer kit, as it is the cheapest of the kits. burtmanindustries.com also offers a 3"/2" spacer kit for your truck that is around $350? I believe. That kind of kit will give you a bit higher than the daystar 2.5/1.5, but again, it's kinda what YOU want to do and how you want it to look.
You could also consider a body lift, 1" up to 1.5", although I would not recommend going any higher than that. They are relatively cheap and, from what I have read, seem easy to install with the proper tools.
Some sites you can use to look up kits/pricing and definitely take the time to compile price comparisons and read reviews before you make the final choice.
wheelersoffroad.com
burtmanindustries.com
toyteclifts.com
rustysoffroad.com
4wheelparts.com
Those should help get you started!

Oh, and I forgot to mention....be sure to check if you have XREAS or not. I too, have an 05 Limited and for the first couple months had NO idea I had XREAS on there. Mind you this whole time I'm researching full on, new lift kits haha, then come to find out I DO have XREAS, which really limits what kind of lift you can put on unless you're willing to completely rip it out!

If you planning on keeping xreas, you can only do a spacer lift. If you plan on going with coil overs, then xreas needs to be fully removed.

Thanks for all the replies, they've been really helpful! But actually, I have an '04. Would I still possibly have xreas? Or is that just the '05?

Xreas was an option on all 4th gen limiteds, so it's possible you have it. Look at the shocks, if you see a house attached to them, you have xreas.
