9005 9006 Headlight Bulbs..

I installed a pair of Sylvania Sliverstar 9005s and 9006s for my 4th generation 4Runner last night. Even though these are brighter than the stock bulbs, they are still kind of yellowish.

Then while I was looking for some stuff on eBay, I came across this item:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2434119183

Anybody knows if this is any good? Is it gonna hurt the wiring harness? Thanks for your help.

If ......'WHAT YOU PAY IS WAHT YOU GET'..... THEN.. WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO CONCLUDE ....... 'THIS IS NO GOOD'

Looks like it has a blue tint to cut the yellow light. Tint = less light output.

I'd be skeptical of these.....they seem too inexpensive.

I bought some Philips Vision Plus bulbs for the Camry and they are great. Unfortunately, Philips doesn't make them for the 2003 4Runner. You can get Osram SilverStars (not quite as bright as Philips Vision Plus) to fit, though.

Figure on $40 per pair. Bought mine at http://www.autolamps-online.com.

Some more information is here: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showth...=&threadid=984

As standard HID emits light in the 4100K range, these things go into the extreme "blue" color range and would undoubtedly cause a lot of glare for oncoming drivers. (unless that's your intention! ;) )

I did a spot check on their Toyota brand acessories, and their prices are high, though. For example, their ashtray/lighter is $77 and I paid $64 from Toyota of Richardson.

Brandsport.com

I did a comparison here of their prices and out dealer and they are the same price. I've ordered from them a couple times and they are super fast and the service is great. I guess I'm just lazy and don't mind having things showing up at my house. lol.

Take care.
