Wiring Diagrams anyone?

Does anybody have the wiring diagrams for the JBL system (2003) ??

I'm going to be installing an aftermarket NAV unit soon, and I'm wanting to bypass the JBL amp all together. What I'm hoping for is that the speaker wires return near the Head-Unit (after the amp), then go to the speakers. If this is the case, I'll just connect to the speakers that way, instead of running all new wires.

The only other option is to purchase the interface wiring-kit, which is around $70... and that RETAINS the JBL system, which I am not a fan of.

Anyone know anything about this, or have access to the wiring schematics?

Thanks for that!

Hmm... looks like what I was afraid of then: The HU only provides a L/R signal to the amp, not individual fronts & rears that I can tap into. Then all the speaker leads go from the the amp individually to the speakers. That means I'll have to re-run all the speaker leads if I want to bypass the JBL system then...

I guess I'll give it a shot using the JBL interface harness before I re-wire everything. Allegedly, the interface has a "gain-adjustment" that might boost the sound a bit.

So based on this diagram - theoretically you could buy a new 5 channel amplifier and re-use the stock speaker wiring that currently leaves the JBL amp to avoid running all new speaker wire right?

You may have to change the speakers (not sure if they are 2 or 4 ohms) but the wiring would be reusable.

Am I missing something?

Is there any input to this? My amp crapped the bed, and I need to replace. I would like to keep everything else stock. What's the best approach here?
