4runner '99 speakers

Hi,

I was told that the front will take 6.5" and rear will take 5.25" speakers so I got Alpine SPR-136A 5 1/4" & Alpine SPR-174A 6 1/2". I found out today that they don't fit (front ones are too deep and rear ones won't fit in the 'ring'). What's up with that ? is there a place that gives you what REALLY fits in your car ?

Thanks

Sade

I have a 99 also. The front speakers are 6 3/4 and the rear speakers are a weak 4 inch.
