Question 3" lift questions

First off this is my first post here and I'd just like to say hi, and my name is Sam. On to my question, I've got a 2" OME lift right now and would like to move up to a 3" lift with a 1" body lift. I thought it would be some what simple and just be a matter of swapping my front 881 coils for 882's and swapping my rear 906 coils for 891's. I also currently have the 90004 shocks. I thought that it would be a fairly straight forward swap of springs but was told that I would need to get new UCA's, a longer drive line, and that the shocks I have arent long enough to allow for the longer springs. All that ive read on this forum of different people doing a 3" lift on a 3rd gen 4runner havent said that the extra parts mentioned where needed. If any one has done this and found that they did or did not need the UCA's and such the information would be appreicated. Or if it is just simple as i originally hoped, I would appreciate the extra information. In the mean time I will be searching for an answer to my onw question.

Thanks
