75 watt amp to power sub?

Hey guys I found a sub/amp combo a neighbor has for 50 bucks. They know little about it (let's just assume everything works well ) the amp Is a 2 channel 75 watt.. So 150 watt is says for max power. It's mounted on a 10" sub. I don't know the output of the sub so I don't know how much you can help but do you think this amp could power a small sub? I'm guessing since they are mounted together they were at one point used as a combo.. Let me know thanks!

Here's the amp

Is the enclosure ported or sealed? Sealed takes more power, but it gives a much crisper response, and doesn't sound "boomy" like many ported designs. 150W will probably work okay with a ported enclosure, but it's a bit light for a sealed 10". There's nothing on the sub to help identify it, not even a brand name/series #? I assume you're going to bridge the channels on the amp, correct? I didn't pull up the link--is the power rating RMS or peak? It would really help to know more about the speaker--higher end models tend to need more power to get them to respond.

A quick read of the literature reveals that your amp puts out 50W per channel x 2 or bridged to get 100w x 1 continuous/RMS
(4 ohm load) which is how you would want to use it for a "sub." I think with that limited power you would want to look at something like a good quality midrange woofer like the JL 8 inch. You really need a bit more headroom (power) to properly move a 10" sub in a sealed enclosure.

Best of luck, Jon
