RX350 projectors are awesome (from what I've seen). A wire harness isnt really built, head to retrofit source and find which one applies to you (H11, H9, etc, bi high vs low beam only, whether you car requires CANBUS or not, etc etc etc), select one and purchse it. All must be accompanied by relays (all harnesses sold by TRS do). Period.

Hope this helps. Good luck on your retros!

EDIT: you will need a 9006 wire harness and HiBeam splitters for your 2005 4Runner.

Feedback on HID purchase before Install

Alright, I definitely should have looked over this forum before buying my HIDs. But I feel like I did alright. BUT, just to make sure could you guys make sure I'm in the clear? FIrst time doing HIDs and just wanting to make sure I purchased the correct items.
2006, Limited.
6000k and 55w for high beams and lo beams
6000k and 35w for fogs
Any and all feedback is welcome, just don't want to make a mistake and pay for it later.
Do I need to worry about my 55w getting to hot in stock housings?
Thanks in advance, always apprentice being able to come on here for new knowledge!

6000K is a little "blue" to be effective (useable light). It has been said to use 4200K, but I do use the 5000K CBI bulb which are practically WHITE. Those are expensive, but well worth it. What specific bulb are you looking at?

I would stay away from HID for hibeams only due to "warm up time". I know ballasts (times) have improved, but unless you use them for a prolong period of time, I don't see the need for a dedicated HID bulb for the Hi's. Myself? I'm looking to get vLeds LEDs. Not the greatest, but should throw plenty of light ahead of me. I live near a lot of back roads and my rig is used to haul my little ones around. Beam pattern on LEDs apparently continue to be an issue (still scattery and not well defined), but these will be TONS better than the "factory spec" bulbs I have.

HIDs in the foglights? Most know that the fogs do basically nothing in terms of illuminating the road ahead of you. Mine are still stock and I have 0 plans on doing anything with them. The beam pattern is worthless even if you put airport landing lights in them. Realize that is my opinion, but do what you want with your rig. Just please just don't throw hi powered bulbs in everything thus resulting in blinding the piss out of on coming traffic.

Good luck!

AS far as the your stock projectors getting warm, I believe you'll be fine. Many run 55w with no issues.

Plan on purchasing an HID "kit" here soon for my 07 runner (has projectors)

Any recommendations on a good quality kit that wont break the bank?

Plan on using 35w with a 5000k bulb

Hello. Iím new to all this and doing some research about what to get better for my pickup either hid or Leds found out this package which is really what Iím looking to get but not sure how to get it done myself. My only concern is the seal of the lamps because I donít want to get moisture or ay type of issues. Has anyone involved into these custom hid retrofit kit products or anyone have done it themselves? How to get it right and tips will be appreciate it.

The only retrofitter that I can recommend without hesitation is Lightwerkz. If you want to DIY, head over to hidplanet.com. You WILL find all of the information you need over there.

You won't be sorry.

I can highly recommend www.xenondepot.com . Purchased HID kit from them as well as an LED kit for another vehicle. Though definitely not the cheapest, the products appear to be well made and function great. Also their customer service is top notch.
