4Runner strut Tower bar?

Do such things exist for 4runners? and if so are they necessary? They would probably help with body roll even more along with the X-REAS, as they would prevent the strut towers from flexing... but I wanted to know if anyone has one installed or if they even find them to be the least bit necessary?

well why the heck not... especially in a 4runner where you're offroading and such the strut towers would flex and such and eventually they would start to flex inward and get bent that way... not a huge deal but it does affect the suspension up front just a tad..

Here's the problem I see, which maybe not a problem. Whenever I've seen a shock tower bar, it has always been attached to towers that were located under the hood. The 4Runner's towers are located in the wheel wells.

thank you, I had wondered about this as well. Are there any other mods available for front end stability?

It's more or less a custom job and those that build long travel rigs (pre-runners) will brace them with cross bars or at least tie them into an engine cage when they do that.

For just a simple brace, it may take a small bit of trimming to the inner fender well sheetmetal but not that much. They're not completely hidden within the wheel well, you could easily make a plate that bolts to the top of the tower that extends inward a bit toward the engine bay, then just bend and weld on a piece of tube from one side to the other.

I had thought of doing it a couple times.
