Question Bull bars

I just picked up my 05 Sport V8 in Strat Mica - I really like this thing.

I've ordered the HomeLink module and the Canadian Bug guard. I think next on my list is a bull bar. Some of these bars weigh upwards of 70#. Has anyone been able to notice a change in handling or just the feel when adding these?

I would think that on a such a heavy vehicle an extra 70# would really matter, but better to ask.

Thanks,

Jeff

I have the JAOS Center protector and it weighs around 35 pounds . I've had it for about 3 weeks now and I haven't noticed anything different when driving.

I have the "T&H" brand bull bar and it weighs about 35 lbs, but is not as expensive as the Jaos. However, you do get what you pay for.

I have the Westin bar with light weights about 40 lbs. After a month it already has some scratches in it from parking lots. I put it on mostly for front bumber protection and it seems to work out very well. I picked the Westin because I was able to set the lights back from the bar so the bar gets the hits not the lights. I didn't notice any differnce after installing the bar.

I have Manik Front Grille Guard. You can see it here: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showth...5&pagenumber=2
I didn't notice any difference in consumption or performance.

Yea, no change should be evident on a smaller bar. Even the bigger, full Jaos bar doesn't weigh much more, due to it's contstruction, but carries a hefty price.

Love your avatar!!!!
