A little advice before I buy tires/wheels!

What's up guys?!

I am about to purchase a set of 4 tires and wheels and just wanted to make sure i'm about to make a good decision! I've never had to buy tires or wheels before. So far, I really really like these Wheel Details - Discount Tire Direct

I am torn between two sets of tires, hopefully they fit correctly. The website offered them to me as sizes that will fit the 17" MB Chaos 6 wheels..

This is one that i'm interested in...

here is another..

Here is the same tire but a higher price. whats different?

So there is a list of possible tires I want. I want a rugged looking all terrain tire. I do want those wheels. I love the way they look. Right below the rim it says "Matte black and matte silver machined finishes available, one-piece aluminum construction, 15", 16", 17", 18" and 20" sizes." what does the finishes available mean? Is that like extra polish or something? Do these tires worth with the MB Chaos 6 17" wheel?

Thanks guys!

What year 4Runner do you have? The wheels should fit fine, just make sure you have the correct offest. Best bet is to call them and they can make sure for you. I am also picking up a set of 17" wheels, going with -12 offset. The two colors listed are the available finishes. One is matte black and the other is matte silver.

The tires you are showing are a little on the small side. Discount says they are the stock size, but for the most part that is incorrect. You would want to look for something in the 265 65 17 range...or 265 70 17. That will be closest to stock and fit the wheel better. Either of those tires would work. The second Cooper is more expensive because it is a different size, and less common. Look closely, one says 235 65 17 and the other says 235 60 17.

These are just some of the tires that would work. I just noticed you have a 2001. If I were you, I'd go with the 265 70 17. It will fit stock with no lift, and will meet your criteria.

So if I grab Wheel Details - Discount Tire Direct

and if I grab Discount Tire Direct

those will work well together? I do not have any lifts on my truck. everything is stock. I have 20s on it right now with low profile tires. it doesnt ride that well.

I talked to the guy at DTD, Joe. Super nice guy. Got everything and the warranty on all tires for 1100 even. Pretty good deal? I'm excited

Ya tha'ts a pretty good deal. Its hard to beat DTD when buying the whole package. You may get the different items cheaper at other places, but by the time you have them mounted its not any cheaper.

Plus it looks like he gave you a decent deal on the whole setup...
