Leather interior
Im toying with the idea of adding leather. Classic soft trim.com is the idea but they have perforated and suede inserts and I don't know about price yet. On the 3rd gen some people complained about the fabric seat foam being too soft. Not sure if I can justify the cost. I assume it to be around 1K. Anyone give input? This sport trim really grabs lint and dog hair! I love the idea of ebroided TRD seats though...
But the leather in my Honda Accord smells so good, is very tough, and is easy to clean!! ????????

The cost is probably somewhat dependent on area, and may cost more than $1k. I'd expect it to be more, but I'd ask your local CST shop how much they charge.
I have CST leather in mine, and I like it. I think it's more comfortable than the stock fabric, and have been told and imo, I agree, that the CST leather is softer than the stock leather in the Limiteds.
TRD embroidered seats would probably also cost more, hmm.. maybe by a couple hundred or so I'd expect. Another thing to ask..

Since you had the aftermarket seats and heaters installed by CST can you show me a pic of where they installed the controls for the heated seat option? Thanks!

I had heated seats installed by CST on mine as well. The seat heater switch is on the base of the seat, side towards the door.

Got anymore pics of the black leather with lighter colored seat plastic? I've been thinking about black leather with tan inserts but didn't know how the tan plastic seat trim would look with black leather. Thanks!

Are they Comfy?
When I opted to not get leather it was because of the desert. While I absolutely loved my leather seats in my old truck, they were miserable when out on a run through the desert.
But now that I have cloth, I can't keep the seats clean. Not dirt but hair, and fur. I have long hair and a couple furry critters at home. And I can't decide if they are just not as comfy because the cloth doesn't support as well or if it is just the seat itself.
I have to do something. So, I really like those TRD seats. Are they more comfortable?

yup, i have some posted here.. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/177626/3
but technically, my leather is dark charcoal, not black. so if you were thinking of getting black, it would be slightly different. i wanted dark leather, yet not black, so i chose pretty much the next closest thing..

They are more firm than the stock Sport cloth seats. Though not as soft, they clean up nice and the heaters are nice. The look is great too. I would do it all again, unless Toyota comes out with a fabric like they did in my 93 4Runner w/Sport seats. The new stuff just isn't very good with dirt/lint/etc.
I first purchased a couple sets of cloth/custom seat covers (still in boxes) for my 05 Sport before opting for leather. Anybody need some? I'll sell them for a heck of a deal. They are dark grey. I have 2 sets of 2 front seats. Take 'em both for $50 plus shipping.

Thanks all for replies! Mafster and Alpha thanks for posting the pics! Those pics look great! I will have to call CST in my area because they look awsome! Does it still have that nice leather smell after some time? Griots has that leather smell spray... I want to spray it on my fabric:arrow: Love the smell of leather!

I've cleaned mine with the supplied cleaner/conditioner once. It still smells nice. Be sure to get "dealer" pricing and not retail pricing if you go to CST. Tell them XXX dealer referred you and to give you the dealer rate. It will save you $100s!

Sorry, no pics. If you are seriously in the market, I will unpack them and take pics. They are still in sealed boxes from the distributor.
