@treklights

Troy,

How much amperage do your lights draw? I'm working on a wiring diagram to run the lights as I told you. Check out the thread below:

Hey SV,

Funny you should ask, I had these hooked up to a tester the other day.

The 4" XT's were drawing just above 1 amp at 12 volts.

The 18" XT's I believe were right around 6 amps at 12 volts, but I'll have to double check, as I don't remember exactly.

Question

Troy, are there plans in the future for any "combi" series lights? I'm interested in a flood/spot combination for a ATV.

You guys are quicker on the draw than I am today!

I blame it on the flu I'm currently nursing.

Starting today, all ES Series TrekLight bars are available in spot/flood combo beam.

Guys, you'll have to excuse my idiocy.

I was messing around with an XT Series TrekLight Bar today and found out that the mounting points DO in fact slide from side to side!

There's a little bit of play when the mounting points are on either end of the bars, so mounting to something slightly wider than the mounting range should take up the last of that slack.

Here is the mounting width range for the XT Series TrekLights:

4" TrekLight XT: One mounting point (can be moved all the way left or all the way right along the bar).

6.5" TrekLight XT: One mounting point (can be moved all the way left or all the way right along the bar).

9" TrekLight XT: One mounting point (can be moved all the way left or all the way right along the bar).

12" TrekLight XT: 1.5" apart to 8.75" apart

18" TrekLight XT: 1.5" apart to 14.75" apart

22" TrekLight XT: 1.5" apart to 18.75" apart

36" TrekLight XT: 1.5" apart to 32.75" apart

So how does that work? Is one half flood and one half spot?

More like 80/20.

The inner lights (80%) are spot, and the outer lights (20%) are flood.

Are they operated by the same switch where they both come on at the same time or is there some kind of dual control?

You may have changed my entire plan

This option is not showing on the web site yet.

Talking

By the way. There are some guys talking about your product on a Colorado FJ site. One of them saw the MUD group buy.

I have been sharring the info you give me. Is that worth a 25% discount?

Sorry to throw the monkey wrench into your plan!

Same switch. The floods and spots do not operate separately. The only thing that's different is the shape of the reflectors.

18" TrekLight XT Night Shots

Some TrekLight eye candy:

18" TrekLight XT Spot Beam

Obligatory "Twin Trees" Shot

Into the sky. Notice how there's enough spread to shine a bright light onto the trees, while throwing a killer spot beam into the sky:

So, I'm thinking about opening the GB up a little early since the other one is already over.

What do you all think?

Anyone itching to reserve a light?
