Hey All,
Love the forum... I've got a new 2013 4Runner SR5 that I picked up last week... first T4R after GM SUV's my whole life.
Can get pretty icy here in NB, so I like to run Studded Winter Tires for about 4-5 months (Nov-Mar). I picked up a set of OEM 17" rims on eBay and am now shopping for TPMS, programming tools, and tires.
Been through the forum fairly well today regarding this and oil changes. I've got a couple things I'd like to confirm before purchasing.
According to the manual:
FCC ID: PAXPMV107J
FCC ID: HYQ13BCX
I see lots of the PMV-107J online, such as these:
Toyota Lexus Scion TPMS Tire Pressure Sensor PMV 107J | eBay I'm assumign these should be sufficient.
I'll also require a service kit (is there a specific model? This one looks like it works):
Tire Pressure Sensor Rebuild TPMS TPS Service Pack Kit with Nut Valve Cap Gasket | eBay
Probably, most importantly... I need a programming tool. This is the one I see many referring to: ATEQ TPM Quickset Tool
Looks like this tool will allow me to get the required information on the existing TPMS in the OEM wheels and tires... then once recorded, I can program the device with the information for the new TPMS I will buy, upload to software and then easily tranfer to ATEQ and then the car, through the OBDII port.
Is there anything I'm missing here??
Thanks all of the help!
