1999 4 runner 2wd limited vibration

Hi I am new to forums so I apologize if I am not doing this properly. I just purchased a 1999 4Runner 2wd Limited with 196k miles on it. I have never owned a Toyota so not fully familiar with the 4runner. I am noticing at 50+ MPH a loud vibration noise ( literally fills the cabin and almost outdrowns the radio) I took it to the local Toyota Dealership and they said U Joints and Driveshaft. They were obviously outrageous with the quote so I went elsewhere to a cheaper place to have work done. Next Place informed me no play really with the DriveShaft and just need to do the U Joints. Installed New U joints front and rear and Vibration is still there Absolutely no change whatsoever. They tell me now maybe I should have the driveshaft balanced? Still claiming it doesnt need to be replaced, however Toyota Service Dept told me almost always if you dont replace the driveshaft with the U joints the problem wont be corrected. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. I would like to start enjoying my 4Runner and so far its not enjoyable to drive whatsoever. So far I just feel as if I am throwing money in left and right and not getting anywhere. Thanks in advance!

It could be pinion bearings. Check to see if it's tight first.

First, I've never heard of replacing the DS just because of a bad u-joint, that's just BS.
It's possible (but unlikely) the DS needs rebalancing (unless its been damaged), but its cheaper than a new one.
Is it a 2 piece DS? If so it could be the center (carrier) bearing.
Another possibility could be the slip joint. If it was never properly lubed, it could be worn and sloppy. You'll have to unbolt one end to check that.
