perfectly true. if you add bigger rims, you need bigger brakes. my brother had a Honda with donuts on his. but when he upgraded with rims, he had a hard time stopping so figured that OEM brakes was alittle old and wasn't good enough for 'rims' in general. so brakes is an important thing rather than driving the car.
