Only you know if you're OK with rolling the dice on damaging something or having a wheelwell liner rip off on the freeway and damage something or hurt someone.

Question for anyone running these with stock Trail wheels. Did you have to do the BMC? If not, how close is it? Any other Liner/Body Seam modifications necessary? I see Alexb didn't when originally on his TE wheels, just looking for any other experience.

Thanks!

Honestly, I can't really say. I have mud flaps and I still rub on them quite a bit at about 3/4 turn to full lock and it's fairly loud. That's with 3" of lift up front, but I also have a wider offset wheel. There are too many variables that go into play to say how bad it would be.

Beautiful truck! I'm looking to do the exact same lift/wheel/tire combo on mine, so thanks for posting. Can you elaborate on the rubbing? I was hoping to keep the factory mud guards.

Have you done any trimming or removed the guards?

Rubbing hasn't been bad enough to warrant trimming or removing the guards. Pretty much only rubs backing out of parking spots at close to full lock.

I'm excited to be joining this crew. Just ordered a set of 255/80's that will be installed on Saturday morning.

With my setup I don't rub at all. It's nice to not worry about it. Come on over to the dark side.

Yea lol I NEVER thought I'd be considering the skinnies, but I really think I'm going to! I actually quite like the look and there's all kinds of research and feedback on the web regarding narrower tires being BETTER offroad in just about every way except super deep/soft sand or mud.

Hey mind sharing your particular setup? Would help me understand how much goes into it to avoid tire issues :-D

I'm trying to evaluate your signature of parts you have listed now. Kind of looks like you have done quite a bit actually, with the diff drop, body mount chop, spacers etc? You think all thats required to make these fit?

I think people make these work with less work done.

The bilstein 5100's, 3/4" front spacer, Spidertrax wheel spacers 1.25", body mount chop and method wheels are the only things that would contribute to not rubbing.

Sounds like quite a bit of work? Hmmmm Dang it... I'd really like to get these tires, but I was hoping they would fit better.
