Anyone install an aftermarket headunit yet?

Just wondering if anyone has tossed a aftermarket head unit into a 2012+ T4R yet and can post pics of what it looks like in the dash. I know scosche makes a dash kit for it but what to see what it looks like in the real world and installed.

Thanks

I'm subscribing. I swapped everything but the HU and I'm not a fan of the Entune system. Lots of reboots, nav freezes, etc.

Am interested in seeing what the schosche kit looks like, and also if anyone can shed light on what you did with the antenna? There's no antenna on the truck, none that I can see, and the stock HU does not have the traditional round antenna input, but the aftermarkets do....

There is an antenna, and it is probably in the glass, but could be sitting alongside the NAV & Satellite antennas in the roof. It's irrelevant where it is, what's important is how it connects to the HU. If you take the dash apart, you will see a million wires going into 8 or so pin connectors that connect into the back of the HU. This is normal for all stereos, however, this is the first time I DON'Tt see an antenna wire, which is a large round connector that connects directly into the HU, not thru one of the pin connectors. I'm wondering if anyone has identified which of the many wires is the antenna wire, so that I can buy or make a connector to convert it so that I can plug it into my aftermarket HU.

Oh I know and agree with you, what I really meant was that I can't believe I didn't notice that it didn't have a traditional one like my 2012

I have, here is the one we put in our 2013 SR5...

the knobs look a little funny because they are Camry knobs, but its an easy $5 fix with some OEM trail knobs...

Knob part number 90010-26010 $1.62 each from Toyota

Is that the stock dash? Not the scosche? How did you wire the FM antenna?
