good street tires

i have a '06 sport 4x2 v8 and i'm looking to change my factory dunlops for a better street tire. no plans to go off roading. unless i do doughnuts on my neighbors lawn...hehe. i really want a smooth, quiet ride to get around in the city. i really hate road noise. any suggestions? thanks.

Goodyear Fortera SilentArmor (quiet & puncture resistant, but may decrease fuel economy a bit) or Goodyear Fortera Tripletread (sporty; all weather). Otherwise, i would stick with Michelin Crossterrains or LTX M/S. Bridgestone Dueler H/L is pretty nice too along with Yokohama HT/S series.

I would seriously consider Michelin Crossterrains...proven (it's a Michelin, equivalent to Toyota in tires), smooth on highways and foul weather, and quiet. It is $$$$, but worth it considering that it will last you for several years.

toyo proxes S/T.

Better grip than any other tire that will be mentioned, its M+S rated and its much quieter being a performance truck tire than any of the other off road able tires without giving up anything in the way off off roading really when compared to the Dunlops

The Dunlop is a good street tire. It's a quiet running tire and comfortable as well. If you have no plans to drive offroad, why bother switching tires?

I'm still waiting for mine to wear out on my 4wd 4Runner so that I can replace them with a more capable tire. I haven't done much offroad driving, but believe it or not, the Dunlops performed pretty good in the snow.
