Here is an article I recently found about a Volant cool air intake being installed on an '06 Tundra with the 4.7 VVT-i engine. For all those people who may have been doubtful on my 17 WHP increase with the intake alone, this article talks about the installation and power increase with the Tundra; 14 HP at the wheels...

Wow. Glad I found this great thread. Sounds like an easy 60-70hp/tq gain with the URD MAF calibrator, CAI, better Y-pipe, and catless exhaust with the DT headers.

Get the URD supercharger kit on top of this, now we're talking!

Time for an intake, MAF calibrator, then dyno session?

You definitely just bumped a 3 year old thread Stage 1 Transformation (Exhaust, Chip, Intake)

Let me know how that MAF calibrator works out. I may pick one up as well.

Haha...blast from the past - fun read catching up. This seems like so long ago, 13 years, wow.

I remember thinking my 4th gen was pretty fast for an SUV, then I came across a chipped Powerstroke...

I've owned and modded 6 or 7 different cars since then. I don't currently have a 'yota in the garage, had a 5th gen briefly but wasn't near enough power from the V6 so I had to move on.

I'm actually in the market for an '05 Tundra if I can find one with less than 150k. Also, I still have the factory exhaust for this car sitting in my garage - let me know if anyone is interested.

Good luck with the modding! Good to see the 4th gen community is still going strong out there!

Haha, darn, hoped you still had the vehicle so I could steal the map!

I'm actually in the Denver area. It looks like Nick went to another shop called MoFab, which has stellar reviews. Was Nick the one who tuned yours back in the day at MAC?
