Gibson exhaust on 4th gen, who's got it?
Anyone here have the Gibson exhaust on their 4th gen. I know a lot of folks have the Magnaflow, but I don't like the drone that they have always had. I had a Gibson on my 99 Frontier V6 and its fine, no real drone after it got broken in. If some here have the Gibson on the 4runner how do you like it?
Thanks

Wow, I guess nobody has the Gibson system. I did a search and only found one person but he gave limited info on it.
Surely someone here has to be running it.

I've sold plenty of these systems for the Nissan Titan and Armada V8's, and people really love them. They are a great system for the money and not loud, but a nice growl. I can also get them for the 4Runner if anyone wants.
Burtman Industries 4th gen Exhaust Link is for the single rear exit.
If you want to dual side, call me text me at 717-319-2100 (it's more than the single of course, but I will help out).

I've had the Gibson system since last July. I like the sound and it doesn't get on your nerves.

Between your K&N intake and Gibson exhaust do you feel like you got any power gain. I know this is not a scentific question.. I am not looking for a scentific answer. The Butt-o-meter is fine with me. Thanks for any info!!!! Also I thought the Single side sweep gibson exited out to the side under the right rear fender.

I did feel a slight gain in power, especially in the higher RPM range. I raced a friend of mine that has a stock 04 Sport and I pulled on him the whole way. Good thing I have them, especially with the lift and larger tires. Next will more than likely be the JET computer upgrade.

I was looking at getting the Gibson too. I like the side exit better then the straight back look. Plus whenever I get a hitch carrier I don't want the exhaust blowing onto whatever I may put on it. I just don't want something that sounds like a can full of marbles. I want something that sounds like the stock 350z. Throaty not raspy.

I would take a sound clip of mine, but I have a V6. I'm sure that you're V8 sounds a little different. I can tell you that at highway speeds from 60-80 mph you can't hear much. I can really only tell when I gun it. Let me know anyhow.

Here you go:
Gibson write-up/link
It exists straight out the back, single tip, in the stock location.
If you want to dual side, call me text me at 717-319-2100 (it's more than the single of course, but I will help out).

I installed the Gibson on my V8 4Runner. I like the sound (not too loud) and did notice a slight increase in milage as well. However, the 4inch tip they provided with the exhaust did not provide enough clearance for the bumper and it melted it. I called gibson and they send me out a 3.5 inch turn-down tip that solved the problem - for free (might also be the way to go if you use a cargo carrier). I actually like the look of the turn down tip better. I never did like the the look of big exaust tips anyway.

Gibson!
Just put on my Gibon on my 2003 V6. I really like the sound. Deep and understated. Install took an hour with a friend and no cutting was required.
There are two (2) bolt flanges that need wd-40 and disconnected and the whole cat-back system comes off. The new setup fits perfect on all the factory hangers and just requires a wrench and socket.
Great setup.
I can post pics and sound clips if interested.
Bought from Burtmanindustries.com Great guy and fast shipping when in stock!

YES! post pics cause I wanna see what it would look like on my 03.
Does it purr or growl?
Is it noticably louder? I like the quiet ride, dont want people to know Im coming from miles away...
What about the tip? Chrome?
And is it pointed down or str8? Melt the bummber like the other guys did?
Lots of questions but I wanna be sure before I shell out hundreds of dollars... Thnx!
